Cover Ma vie Ma cuisineTruong Thi Quyen

owns the Little Asia, the popular Vietnamese-restaurant
in Brussels. At Little Asia, you find  authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a trendy, cosy space. The restaurant
is also renowned for chefs from Belgium
and foreigners. A few years ago, she had already
wrote ‘THE DELIGHTS OF QUYEN’.
Alain Coninx is a famous TV journalist.

He adores good food and is also a contibutor of the popular magazine “Culinaire Ambiance”.
The great chefs appreciate his advice about gastronomy.

Truong Thi Quyen (pronounced Gwen) is of Vietnamese origin, was

yet a little Miss when his father landed in Wichelen (Fla. Orien -

tale) as refugees (boat people). It did not arrive until five years before the family reunited

later in Belgium and seemed doomed to a life without a future.

But it was without counting on her strong character and her business spirit.

Today, Quyen is the owner of Little Asia, a Vietnamese-restaurant,

most trendy and popular at the heart of Brussels.

This book chronicles the life of Quyen, her youth in Vietnam

through her memories with her father until the fabulous history of

her restaurant. A great success! Journalist Alain Coninx

accompanied Quyen in Vietnam, in the footsteps of her past, the

search of her roots and those of Vietnamese cuisine. The strong story

is supported by many Vietnamese recipes. The fantastic journey in

Vietnam and the dishes were photographed by Heikki Verdurm, a famous

photographer.
